The smell of this green tea is hard to describe in words, but its name already makes it clear that it is something special. Lanfei (lan-fej) ?? means Orchid Beauty. The early delicate leaves of the Mengding Mountain tea tree, traditionally called Ganlu - Sweet Dew, are scented with small orchid flowers after drying, which are then removed. It is interesting that this aroma penetrates the tea to such an extent that even after the fourth infusion, a full-fledged aftertaste of orchid flowers remains. In the beginning, I could smell hazelnuts in the taste, and after a longer infusion, a bitter taste with a hint of chestnuts. The intoxicating aroma of meadow honey spreads in the scent of the infused leaf. With such tea, in China they talk about the Art of tea - chayi ???

Vôňa tohoto zeleného čaju sa iba ťažko dá opísať slovami, no už pri jeho názve je zrejmé že ide o niečo výnimočné. Lanfei (lan-fej) ?? v preklade znamená Orchideová kráska. Skoré jemné lístky čajovníka z hory Mengding, ktoré sa tradične nazývajú Ganlu - Sladká rosa,  sa po usušení nechávajú navoniať malými kvetmi orchideí, ktoré sa po navoňaní odstránia. Zaujímavé je že táto vôňa prenikne čajom do takej miery, že aj po štvrtom náleve ostáva plnohodnotná dochuť po orchideových kvetoch. V chuti som na začiatku cítil lieskovce, a pri dlhšom lúhovaní až horkastú chuť s náznakom gaštanov. Vo vôni vyluhovaného listu sa rozprestrie omamná vôňa lúčneho medu.
